The deal, in plain language

Short on purpose. The product is run by a small shop that would rather keep promises than write clauses.

The service

Lagom, made by LedgerLabs, is a tool for keeping a ledger of your own money: you import bank statement files, sort and teach categories, and read the pictures the app computes (spending views, goals, and debt projections). Basic is free. Premium is a paid subscription. Every new account gets a 30-day Premium trial, no card required.

Not financial advice

Lagom computes arithmetic from the statements you give it. Payoff dates, projections, and "usual" baselines are projections from your own data at the pace you set — not predictions, guarantees, or financial advice. Your financial decisions are yours; for advice, see a licensed professional. The engine's category proposals can be wrong — that's why you have the veto.

Paying, and stopping

Premium is billed by Stripe: yearly at the price shown when you subscribed (a founding subscription keeps its price for as long as it stays active), or monthly, cancelable anytime with effect at the period's end. If a yearly plan isn't working out within the first 30 days of a charge, write to us and we'll refund it. When Premium lapses you land on Basic — nothing you made is ever locked or deleted.

Your data, your account

Your ledger belongs to you — see the privacy page for what we hold and the export and delete doors, which always work. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials to yourself and for the legality of the files you upload (they should be your own statements).

The honest limits

The service is provided as-is by a very small team. We work hard on correctness and durability (daily offsite backups, tested restore paths), but we can't promise uninterrupted service or error-free software, and our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the last twelve months. We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect.

Goodbye clause

You can leave at any moment: export, delete, done. We'd rather you leave with your data and a good impression than stay locked in. If we ever have to close the service, you'll get at least 90 days' notice and your export will be waiting.
